The Copernic Alumni Association is dedicated to the promotion of the Copernic Diploma, the professional development of its graduates and building a strong alumni network around the world. The association was established in 2006 and is know under the name of  “Cercle Copernic”.

Our mission is:

To support and promote the activities and initiatives of the association and its members, to ensure the program’s representation in international, public organizations, and the private sector.

- To promote the values of the association: solidarity, intellectual exchange, entrepreneurship and initiative, tolerance and respect particularly towards cultural, ethnic and religious differences, and an ethical and professional attitude.

-  To manage and develop the community of the former students of the Copernic Program.

- To promote the French language within the framework of its local and international activities.

- To promote the image and the cultural diversity of the home-countries of our alumni.

- To offer counselling services to international, public organizations, and the private sector in the conception, search for financing, and realization of projects with objectives aligned with that of the association.

The Copernic Program offers annually rigorous management training to more than 30 engineers, economists, managers and lawyers from Central and Eastern Europe countries. COPERNIC was created in 1990 by four prestigious French universities:

L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris
L’Ecole Nationale des Ponts et Chaussées
L’Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Mines de Paris

Le Collège des Ingénieurs

COPERNIC comes to fruition owing to the joint efforts and support of several parties. Programme participants receive grants from the French government for the 12 months of their training. The three prestigious Parisian universities offer tailored curriculum and academic guidance. French multinational companies support the COPERNIC program by recruiting graduates of the program to take on leadership positions in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Turkey.

The French administration, universities and companies thus offer joint support to the COPERNIC program. The program is held every year in Paris from October 1 to September 30 (December 31, respectively).

The objective of the program is twofold. On the one hand, it seeks to augment the expertise of junior managers who already hold diplomas at a very high level of education. It concurrently aims to facilitate the successful cultural integration of graduates at French companies.

The COPERNIC diploma is awarded by the three partnering universities at the end of each year. The academic training is followed by a six-month internship at a partnering company. This professional experience is a major stepping stone towards full-time employment.

Two out of three participants in the program are extended an offer of employment by one of the partnering companies at the end of their course.
